What this half-day Workshop is about

A practical introduction to cryptocurrency and digital assets for professionals who need to know what to ask, what to record and what to avoid.

This live half-day workshop focuses on the issues most likely to arise during estate planning and client fact-finding.

You’ll learn how clients may hold digital assets, the practical risks around wallets and access information, the difference between access and legal authority, and how to raise and record digital assets safely within your existing client process.

Choose the half-day workshop if you want the essential knowledge and practical tools without needing a deeper dive into probate, estate administration and complex case work.

3.5 hours CPD | Live online training | Practical tools you can use immediately

During the workshop we'll cover

- Cryptocurrency and digital assets explained in plain English
- How and where clients typically hold these assets
- Exchanges, wallets, private keys, seed phrases and 2FA
- Why asking only about “digital assets” may not be enough
- Practical fact-find questions to help identify holdings
- The difference between ownership, access and legal authority
- What information should be recorded on the client file
- What should never be recorded
- Common risks created by missing access information
- When to slow down, signpost or involve specialist support

The focus is practical throughout. This isn’t a technical cryptocurrency course and it isn’t about investment advice. It’s designed to help you have better client conversations and build digital assets into your existing estate planning process.
